Who's Excited? We Get To Go Home!!!

PARADISAY BY SHOGGY TOSH
Remember that popular song all obituaries contain? Like an obituary is not complete until you have the song played before the "With gratitude to God for a life well spent" message is read? Do y'all remember that "This world is not my home" song?
Well, let's all give a big thank you to Shoggy Tosh for taking that song and transforming it. Like, you cannot listen to the former and not think of death or burials or stuff like that, but you can listen to this one, and start dancing. Or if you're like me, you nod your head.
OK I'm sorry for raising the hopes of those who might actually like that song, and are maybe glad someone did a hip-hop version of it. It's actually not the same song. The message is still the same though. This world is not our home.
Shoggy Olushoga Olugbenga Tosh is a Nigerian-British rapper who mixes Yoruba sounds, as well as Yoruba lyrics, to pass the gospel message to the whole world.
Look at the world we live in right now. There's this press for global citizenship and worldwide unity. We see this all the time at conventions like UNGA, the push for a single currency, and this climate change hoax that's just a plot to change world governance. With all these who can doubt the fact that the end is near? Believers should be excited. WE GET TO GO
HOME!!!

Song Review: Armies By KB

So a couple of days ago, we were blessed with the release of this single by Christian Hip-hop sensation Kevin Burgess. Personally, I get excited anytime I hear KB has released a new song because he never disappoints. I believe Armies by KB is a song for today. A favourite Bible passage for a lot of people would be the 91st Psalm, which has to do with God's promises of protection concerning the people He loves. Armies is a song that reminds us of the fact that everywhere we go, we have an army of angels surrounding us.               LYRIC BY LYRIC REVIEW  Danger, giants Battle is my story But alone, I won't know That's my glory Shadows you cannot hide me, uh My King will fight The God of angel armies Is always by my side  So this is reminiscent isn't it? Remember that song by Chris Tomlin? Whom Shall I Fear? I've always been a hip-hop person, so I'll always prefer KB's version. We live in a world where we constantly w...

Album Review: Exit By Wande

Finally, we were all blessed with the release of Wande's debut album Exit. Prior to its release, there had been multiple singles and featured performances by the artist, and in each of them, we could sense that this girl is actually something special in the hip-hop scene. After all, wasn't she the first ever female artist signed to Reach Records?    First of, the sequence of the album was just fitting with the whole story being told. Starting with Be Yourself, and then ending it with Be The Light was especially significant. Exit was simply the story of God working through Wande from the start of her life till now. You know, there aren't really enough big female names in the hip-hop industry, and even less in the christian hip-hop genre. Because of that, I feel like it would be very easy for an upcoming female star to try to copy a big name, and then lose yourself in that light. Like she said in Be Yourself; "Don't be a clone, you were made too uniqu...
